Is this a toy mop or does it actually work?

Both, honestly. The Quiggly Kids Spray Mop is a real working spray mop scaled down to kid size... not a flimsy plastic imitation. The squeeze trigger mists actual water, the microfiber pad picks up real dirt, and the whole thing is sized so kids 18 months to 6 years can actually use it without tripping over a full-size handle. It's a kids cleaning toy that does the job.
What age is this kids spray mop designed for?

It's built for kids 3 through about age 5. The handle height and trigger pressure are sized for small hands and short arms (think toddler to early elementary). If your kid is already grabbing your Swiffer off the wall, this is their version. It works especially well as a Montessori cleaning toy for toddlers who want to do what you're doing... for real.
What do I put in the spray bottle?

Just water. Really. The microfiber pad does most of the actual cleaning, so plain water works great for everyday floor messes and pretend play alike. No chemicals required. If you want a little extra cleaning power, a splash of white vinegar in the water works perfectly and is safe around kids. Skip the harsh stuff entirely... real cleaning, no fumes, no worries.
